The idea of V4 is so you can make your own mods. I worked closely with ben to finalise this idea, and ben made it as easy as possible for everyone to create their own mods.

It is NOT my job to tell you how to make mods. It's clearly explained in the readme file in the machines folder. I am Tech support, and that is my job. The mods are an integral feature of Simtractor, so it's up to other users to figure this out. Anyone who thinks it's my job to tell you how to make your mods, you're having a laugh.

I no longer have time to create things. But please remember, when i started making mods a few years ago, i leaned the hard way, with no help from anyone, just a few limited resources from ben.

Now, im no genious, but i figured it out in time. Everything is possible with a bit of common sence. You just need some presistance and patience.

To be honest, appart from a quick test of the mod loader, i havn't made any proper mods for v4, so i don't know anything more than you.

So, read the readme in the machines folder. It explains how to do it. Be a pioneer for once and figure it out, then everyone can ask you how to do it, and you will have publicity.

Its not hard to understand!!! read the readme. All you need to do is interpate a couple sentences. The readme explains what data you need to put in each column of the .veh. It also says look at the example mods - so look at them! And look at what the file extension is for the model file.

File -> Export -> 3D Studio (3DS).

(Most Modelling software has that export pattern)

Give me a break.

Follow the pattern outlined in Machines/readme.txt and look at the example .veh's (one of them is 52eng.veh) you will see that there is 25 blocks of text - these are the columns referred to in the readme. The readme explains what each column is and what it is for. The text in ( ) is an example of what you might enter. Experiment with the values and see what the output is - if it does not look right change it.
